Greetings from out temporary space here in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico! We are trying not to get so besotted by the beauty of this wonderous Land of Enchantment that we neglect the more mundane aspects of life, like setting up shop.

Studio 12 is in temporary digs which only allow for mixdown and mastering work, but we hope to see it in more permanent space before the year is out. Meantime, we've been acquiring some gear upgrades to add Neumann and UA equipment to our tool chest.

Big Moose Records is, of course somewhat tied to Studio 12's circumstance, but preproduction work is gearing up for Gary Paul Hermus' second CD, which we hope will be released next year. And Big Moose Booking is watching two fronts now; East Coast and Southwest.   On both fronts 'projects' are in the works. Gary Paul Hermus has a few showcase appearances in play, the most recent of which at Mike's Music Exchange opened to a warm reception. And Mimi Nowak is in the kitchen cooking up something that promises to be tasty indeed! It's too soon for details, but stay tuned!!

The winds may howl and the rains may crash, the battle of the packing crates may rage, but even in transition there's news here at Big Moose Music!

Our favorite song stylist, Mimi Nowak, has started cross pollenating with New Jersey's own blues giants, "Crossfire." Mimi's making guest appearances with the Crossfire crew, bringing her from-the-gut go-for-broke blues interpretations to the party! Mimi's also brainstorming some special projects with a number of top-flight musicians from other hot bands in the area - and some of the Big Moose studio crew as well! Stay tuned because we here at the Big Moose are expecting creative sparks to fly on this one!

A plan years in the making is about to come to frution; Big Moose Music is planning to relocate from the East Coast to the Southwest. We mark it today because, early this morning, Studio 12 closed its doors and began the arduous task of deconstruction and packing. This means that, while our web site will remain on line and our web based activities will continue during the transition, all recording related activities will cease.

Of course, our CDs will still be on sale through CDBaby.com, though there might be some small delays due to alternate shipping arrangements during the transition. Our artists will still be out there performing as well. Only our recording activities will come to a temporary halt. We plan to set up a temporary base of operations so that we can get the studio back on line in April. Keep an eye out here for further developments as they occur.
